Bart Grunenwald has a broad depth of experience working in the Commercial Construction Industry on both the contracting and professional consulting side. He is a leader in the development of the Building Commissioning industry in the State of Ohio and is on the forefront of the Sustainable Design Industry. His expertise also includes building energy analysis and HVAC systems design.
He is experienced and able to lead building construction projects through systems commissioning, energy evaluation, LEED certification or HVAC systems design. Bart’s capabilities include and focus on the Energy Performance and Operation of building systems. As a Certified Energy Manager and by his experience, Bart is versed in the development of engineering energy analysis for life cycle costing and performing existing building energy audits.
His experiences include commissioning of building systems to verify they operate as designed, ensuring reliability and energy efficiency.
Bart is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional per the US Green Building Council’s LEED program and has worked closely and successfully with many project teams toward achieving the sustainable project goals.
Frank Portner has worked in the construction industry since 1990 in the Commissioning, Direct Digital Controls and Mechanical Contracting fields. Frank has extensive experience in commissioning of buildings and systems and has been responsible for all aspects of the commissioning process from initial design, building testing, to owner training.
His experiences includes commissioning of building systems to verify they operate as designed, forensic commissioning to determine system problems and help determine the appropriate corrective action and providing customer training on direct digital control systems.
Frank is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional by the US Green Building Council’s LEED program and has worked closely and successfully with many project teams toward achieving the sustainable project goals. He experienced and trained in performing thermal imaging for building envelope (walls, roof, windows) and systems (electrical panels, etc.).
